Make sure they’re still around

A tuna for your grandchildren

Some species of tuna are as endangered as rhinos and tigers, but they are still being legally caught and sold in shops and restaurants. If we don't stop overfishing, they could be extinct within generations. Buy this gift so your grandchildren don’t have to ask what it was like when tuna were still alive.

How this gift works ...

Because of overfishing, many of the world's fish stocks are in crisis, including those of bluefin tuna. Yet they are still being fished in large numbers and served up in high-end restaurants including celebrity hang-out Nobu. Greenpeace is putting pressure on these restaurants to stop serving endangered species, as well as taking direct action where bluefin is being fished, and lobbying governments and the EU to make trading bluefin illegal.
